At a Council meeting in Iberville Parish Tuesday night, a fight nearly broke out between Tony the Tiger's owners and animal rights activists over the status of the animal's living conditions.
The Sandlin family claim's the tiger is part of their livelihood and one of their own. The family opened tiger truck stop back in 1987 and has housed tigers there ever since. But in 1993, the Iberville parish council passed an ordinance that prohibits anyone from owning a wild or exotic animal.
In the meantime Tony the Tiger will remain at the truck stop until both sides have it out in court.

Furadan, a very potent pesticide being used in Africa is killing wildlife in Kenya, especially lions. The pesticide goes in or on animals and when a predator eats these animals they die because furadan is in them. Watch this video and pass it on to save wildlife.
