Animals bring me so much joy, it's almost difficult for me to describe. I'm especially fond of cats.  I believe the plight of big cats is incredibly sad and tragic...they deserve our utmost respect...and yet them seem to get anything but our respect. I was oblivious, as are most people, to the White Tiger Myth....which I'm sure everyone here is aware of.

The tiger in my profile is Kenny.  He was born in Arkansas in 1998 to an illegal breeder.  He was born, as are most white tigers, deformed and and suffering from mental impairments.  Kenny had Down's Syndrome.  His parents were forced to breed, they were brother and sister.  Kenny passed away in June of 2008 of Cancer.  He and his brother, Willie, were rescued, as were Kenny's parents, Loretta and Conway, and were relocated to Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge in Eureka Springs, AR.  Kenny's parents and brother still reside there.

Please do not support any event or performance that showcases white tigers.  These animals are created by man, however, any reputable zoo or sanctuary DOES NOT BREED WHITE TIGERS.  They instead try to spread information about these creatures and there existence.

For those of you who do not know, white tigers are created by breeding related animals, i.e., mother and son, brother and sister or father and daughter.  Also, there is NO such species as the Royal White Bengal Tiger. 

75-80% of ALL white tigers born look like Kenny, they are not the beautiful creatures you see in zoos, circuses or magic acts.  ALL white tigers are cross eyed, plus suffer many other health aliments...scoliosis (curvature of the spine) and cleft palate are just two examples.  Plus, they generally lead shorter lives than regularly breed Bengal or Siberian tigers.

Man has done this to the white tiger...an animal that should not exist....but, does exist as a freak of nature.  They are breed for one reason and one reasone alone...money.

We MUST be their voice.
