Hmm how on earth can a liger killing a caretaker be "A freak accident"!!!! this is a WILD animal! , the sanctuary should take a leaf out of Big Cat Rescue's book and not enter the enclosures! not pet them, not handle them unless sedated or for medical reasons and get some proper rules and regulations!

 

At first only a few days ago I was of the mindset it was fine to own exotic cats, and any prohibition of that was in my opinion another tactic to control what we as humans should own.

However, just watching less than 10 mins of Big Cat Rescue on youtube I changed my mind entirely , I now dont agree with santuaries who dont follow Big Cat Rescue's hand book on the care of big cats, because most santuaries dont follow proper procedure as we see in the video above, the temptation to bond with these cats and domesticate them is too great for some and they dont have the animals best interests in mind!

 

Way to go Big Cat rescue for giving these animals a place to be and safety for those who love them

It's no different then when your cat or dog is eating. Some dogs get very aggressive when eating. I feel bad for the man but he shouldn't have taken the risk. Some people just get arrogant I guess and think they know an animal very well.

It's a shame the Liger might get put down. It's not the cats fault.

Even the sweetest cats at Big Cat Rescue are different when it comes to food and feeding time. You see who they really are-wild cats. Cats have no business in captivity and it is very stressful to them.
