Collins Zoo responds to Humane Society complaints

Is it enough that the zoo is "trying to do something good"? Does that mean we should overlook unsatisfactory conditions for the animals, inadequate protection for people, and so forth? Is the Humane Society being overly critical?

I'm afraid this sort of situation is all too common.

  • A "love of animals" is not enough to satisfy their needs. Trying to "do something good" also isn't the measure of success. I am thankful they are being inspected by HSUS. They do look unhappy indeed! Not to mention the safety of enclosure thing.
